Just don't let it happen twice.
Whenever I had a girlfriend, Macey would get mad at me and throw smart ass remarks, but I never understood why.
Too blinded by life to realize
Ask her for a favor: "Why don't you have your little girlfriend do it!?"
I'd be like "Wtf?"
I didn't understand that she had a greater love for me
Not saying that if I did understand that, that I would've pushed the limit of friendship
But now I wish there was somebody who would yell at me "Reggie wtf are you doing?!"
Now I wish I had somebody that would throw an attitude every time I didn't wanna hang out, or got jealous when I went out with the boys instead
Now I wish I had that emotional love.
So crazy for you, they drive themselves crazy.
But you're their medicine
Now I wish I had somebody telling/showing me, "Don't do it like that. Do it like this"
Now I wish I had that love from the soul, when the looks on your face can't hide the words you really want to say
No lies told in the Waffle House
See this was back when I would pass out on the bean bag and let you take the bed
Break it down, roll it up, smoke away the argument we just had
Louder than the creeks from my wooden stairs, inhale smoke more than we breath regular air
Raw love is like live music, it's never perfect but the ticket price is worth it
Slamming doors to open up curtains.
Popping Molly, shooting Bourbon
What a helluva night, drive a 5 pack across state lines.
Doing the most, risking our free time
But it's a different feeling when this is all you know
We tend to take it granted.
The smoke sessions when conversation was in orbit like planets
The "morning after" smells of open beer and spilled bong water
Kicking everyone out when we needed peace and quiet. Telling them to come back over when it got way too silent
How quickly a day turns into a night, and vice versa
About the same speed these months turn into years
Dried tears, living ghetto fabulous
Calabasas, where the time moves like molasses
Wishing we were back in the trap again
But these urban legends never die
